1. Who these terms are with
Abide in Christ (“Abide”, “we”, “our”) is a free church-management mobile application provided by Vivaha Info, India. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Vivaha Info when you use the app or this site. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Abide. By creating an account you confirm that you are eligible and that the information you provide is accurate. Pastors and admins additionally confirm that they have permission from their congregation to enter and manage member data.
3. Your account
Authentication is passwordless — we use WhatsApp OTP or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone number and Google account secure. Tell us immediately at support@abideinchrist.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. The service is free
Abide’s core church-management features are provided free of charge to every church in India. There is no subscription, no paid tier, and no credit card needed. We may introduce optional paid add-ons in the future; we will give 30 days’ notice before any such change. The core features in the app on the effective date above will remain free.
5. Your data, your church’s data
You own the content you add to Abide — members, prayers, sermons, attendance, hymns favourites, finance entries, and so on. We store and process this content only to operate the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or request deletion of your data at any time.
6. Pastor & admin responsibilities
Pastors and admins who add member data on behalf of their congregation must:
- Obtain consent from each member (or the member’s parent / guardian if under 18) before recording their personal information.
- Use the data only for legitimate church purposes — pastoral care, attendance tracking, communication, prayer support.
- Keep their login credentials private and not share admin access with people outside the church leadership.
- Comply with applicable data-protection laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Abide to share unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, fraudulent, or pornographic content.
- Use the service to attack, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overwhelm our servers.
- Impersonate another person, church, or Vivaha Info itself.
- Use the service to spread content contrary to the historic Christian faith that Abide is built to serve.
We may remove offending content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.
8. Content that ships with Abide
Bible text in Telugu (Indian Revised Version) and English (World English Bible) is included for personal devotional use under the respective public-domain or open-license terms of those translations. Hymns are sourced from public Telugu Christian hymnals and properly attributed. Bible commentary and study material is original work by Abide’s contributors and is licensed to you only for personal use within the app. You may not redistribute it without written permission.
9. Third-party services
Abide relies on Google Firebase (for crash reports and push notifications), Google Sign-In, Meta WhatsApp (for OTP delivery), and Amazon Web Services (for hosting). Their use of any data we send them is governed by their own privacy notices. We share only the minimum data needed for each service to function.
10. Service availability
Abide is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep the app and its servers running, but we do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly secure service. We may take the service down for maintenance from time to time and will notify users in the app when this is planned.
11. Termination
You can stop using Abide at any time and delete your account from inside the app or by emailing support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, harm other users, or are inactive for more than 24 months. On termination, your data is deleted in line with the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Vivaha Info is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Abide. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees), since the service itself is provided free of charge.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith conversation will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
14. Changes
We may update these terms when the service changes. The effective date at the top will be updated and we will notify users inside the app at least 7 days before any material change takes effect. Continuing to use Abide after the change date means you accept the new terms.
